free crochet carnation pattern - easy to make

- pink and white worsted weight yarn
- 4.00 mm crochet hook
With white...Ch 4. Join to form a circle.
Row 1: Ch 2, 17 dc in ring, join.
Row 2: Ch 2, 2 dc between each dc of previous rnd. Join.
Rnd 3: Ch 2, 3 dc between each dc of previous rnd. Join.
Rnd 4: Ch 2, 2 dc between each dc of previous rnd. Join.
Picot edging: With pink, Ch 3, *1 sc into next dc, ch 3.
Repeat from * around. End off. Darn ends in.
Leaves: Ch 11. Sc in 2nd ch from hk.
Sc in next sc, 1 hdc in each of next 2 ch,
1 dc in each of next 2 ch, 1 hdc in each of next
2 ch, sc in next ch, 3sc in last ch to turn corner.
1 sc in next sc, 1 hdc in each hdc, 1 dc in each dc,
1 hdc in each hdc, 1 sc in each of last 2 sc. End off.
Use a flower wire about 15 inches long. Bend at end and hook
through both sides of the center opening of the flower.
Twist wire to secure flower. Place leaves on stem as
floratape is being wrapped around the wire.
Place in flower vase and enjoy!
