Note: Band is worked first,then crown of hat
Ch 10. *Working into the back loop only,
sc into each sc across. (9sc)
Ch 1, turn.
Continue from * for 22" or until measures around head.
Sew ends of work together.
For Crown of hat:
Working in rnds, pick up approx. 60 sts around.
Work in sc until work measures 8 inches from bottom of band.
Then begin decreasing as follows:
Rnd 1. Decrease every 5th sc
Rnd 2. Decrease every 4th sc
Rnd 3. Decrease every 3rd sc
Rnd 4. Decrease every 2nd sc till
6 sts remain. End off.
Draw ending yarn thru
remaining sts to close hole.
End off.
