(Click on above image for larger photo)
Materials: - Light yellow cotton worsted weight yarn - Dark yellow cotton worsted weight yarn - 4.50 mm crochet hook Potholder pattern With light yellow...Ch 21. Row 1: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. Row 2: 1 sc in each sc across. Ch 1 and turn. Repeat 2nd row until you have the size to form a square. End off. Edging: With constrasting color, work 1 sc into each sc around and working 3 sc in each corner. At end of last sc work a ch 10 length of yarn and join into first sc of edging to form a loop for hanging the potholder. End off. Darn ends in. Note: For potholders being used for very hot objects it is best to use "heat resistant" yarn. Polyester or nylon will melt when in contact with high temperatures. Another idea! For added protection... Make two of the above potholder and sc them together to make one thick potholder.Another design for crochet4you
